The book presents information about pastors, lay leaders, church officers, and life in the church and in the community drawn from church and civil records, interviews, and secondary sources. The historical account is supplemented with appendices of interest to genealogists which include the following: an index of names, subscription lists for the 1840's, lists of pew holders, a tabulation of grave stones in the cemetary, and an abstract of the membership actions taken by the session between 1811 and 1900.
